Vinyl madness

I’ve finally submitted to this vinyl cult. And now I’m proud owner of turntable and first pack of vinyls which I got recently. Looks like I’m in a deep state of music addiction, and there’s no way back. The stuff I’ve got first is what was in my friend distributor’s list at the moment. And I’ve already ordered some disks from Peaceville and Rise Above Records and waiting for them impatiently. So what’s in this unusually big sized package?

First comes classic Lustmord“Zoetrope” 2xLP. This is soundtrack for the short movie Zoetrope, which is quite vartied dark ambient, filled with various noises of all kinds and of course with dark atmosphere of suffering. I decided to get it on vinyl despite having movie and CDs just for the sake of it. Because it’s classic.

Art Abscons“Am Himmel mit Feuer II” LP. This is special release. Limited to 50 copies, comes on gold vinyl and represents it’s CD album, but with slightly different set of tracks. Since I fell in love with Art Abscons, this album is no exception. Very nice dark folk!

Land:Fire“Gone” LP. This band is my old favourite. Proper techno industrial from Germany. It’s first release of the project and it sets the theme. It seems a bit underdeveloped from their late works, but there’s potential which attracts me.

Of The Wand And The Moon“It’s like dying on Christmas Day” 7″. These are two awesome tracks that represent the new full length album “The Lone Descent”. This is quite fresh music for the project. It has some resemblance with rock’n’roll, but heavily saturated with trademark Of The Wand atmosphere. Very fresh idea! Can’t wait to get full album.

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio“Songs 4 Hate & Devotion” LP. This is the latest album of the act. It doesn’t sounds different from their previous work. Still it’s nice Ordo as you know it. Calm melodies filled with eroticism and emotions. Their official site has 2 videos showing what to expect from the album.

On a side note, my long time favourite british doom metal band My Dying Bride have finally arrived to Moscow last Sunday. The long 15 years wait is over! The gig was amazing, the set list was very cool, considering they were trying to use as much albums as possible. Sound was also nice since the club is quite new and modern. Hope they’ll return since I missed autograph session before the concert ;)
